The course of physical and education and health is playing a very important role in the higher education system of our country.The effect of the PE course is directly linking to the physical and mental health of the students.Badminton can improve the physical quality and the sensitive quality of students.And can also improve their reactive potency.Badminton is a sport favoring by students,and it's also one of the most popular courses in PE courses of universities.For now,our country is deeply reforming the PE courses and improving most of the teaching facilities.Universities have become the base of the badminton teaching.The major of physical education is now facing the task of teaching and extending badminton.Because of this,how to improve the teaching quality of the badminton courses in school of physical education in universities has become the important researching subject.With the rapid development of badminton in our country,more and more professional badminton talents are needed in the society.In the meantime,the quality of the talents is much more needed.The opening of the badminton course is an important factor to train professional personnel.It plays an important role in training high quality students in Henan.The study is meanly based on the questionnaire survey,expert interviews,literature,mathematical statistic and many other methods to study the opining situation,the training subject,the teaching content,the using of teaching material,the badminton facility,the skill of the teacher and other factors to analysis.This is the mean conclusions:(1)The target of the badminton course is unitary and the curriculum is different.Some universities can't open the course of badminton because of some different reasons.Most of the universities don't have badminton courses.(2)The lesson period can't fit the contents of the courses.The testing content is meanly about skills not theory.Different student can't be treated well.(3)The structure of teachers' age is reasonable.Most of the teachers have master degree but less of them have second-grade athlete certificate.Most of the teachers join in the badminton training but less of them join the professional training.Most of the teachers are associate professors and lecturers.The numberof professors is small.The ability of scientific research is needed to be improved,especially the youthful teachers.(4)The opinion of the leadership has an important influence of the badminton facilities' construction and the training funds.The badminton activity of the students in the spare is small and needed to be instructed.(5)The curriculum awareness,study of badminton theory,understanding of the course and the arrangement of the technical content of the professional class is apparently higher than the non-professional class.
