There are various teaching method, but they are not fixed; The key point is to have appropriate approach. In the geography classroom teaching, selecting correct teaching method is very important, which relates to the actual classroom teaching efficiency and teaching effect. The dissertation is based on the text book of People’s Education Press. The experiment subjects are 360 students in Grade 1, senior high school and the author is responsible for their classes. Making the comparative teaching method as a variable, visiting and consulting the students and teachers for the teaching facilities. Therefore, I have a better understanding of the current situation and the application of the comparative teaching method in high school geography teaching. The main problems are as following: teachers use the comparative method is single, neglecting the cultivation of students’ learning ability, to solve those questions, the author puts forward the corresponding teaching strategies. The specific sections as follows: The paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction, mainly describes the background of the research, research method, research purpose and the the theoretical basis of the research.The second part describes the application case of comparative teaching method in high school geography textbook.The third part is about the application of comparative teaching method in high school geography teaching and the existing problems.The fourth part describe some teaching strategy in the application of comparative teaching method in high school geography teaching, giving the reasonable suggestions for the comparative teaching method application in high school geography teaching, and give some reference to teaching practice.
