The "Art Curriculum Standards" requires that the art curriculum should highlight the nature of humanities and that the design of the art course should have a specific aesthetic tendency and conform to the students' aesthetic taste and certain values.Sculpture appreciation is an integral part of the art appreciation curriculum.In the process of teaching sculpture appreciation,According to the student's learning situation and the needs of curriculum schedule,reasonable and effective teaching design can be carried out to focus on teaching objectives and teaching priorities.Such that,the teaching goals can be completed and the teaching efficiency can be improved.In this paper,the investigation on the application of comparative appreciation method is conducted in high school sculpture appreciation teaching.The author firstly analyzes the concept,application status and value of comparative teaching method and then discusses the application value and significance of comparative teaching method in teaching practice.Thereafter,the author analyzes the feasibility and necessity of the application of comparative teaching method in sculpture appreciation teaching,and specifically applies the comparative teaching method to the teaching of sculpture appreciation.Finally,according to the design of teaching plan,the implementation of specific teaching is conducted.In fact,the basic and dominant roles that the high school art appreciation course should play are to cultivate students' appreciation ability and to improve aesthetic quality.As an important branch of the art appreciation course,sculpture appreciation should also emphasize the role of cultivating students' appreciation ability and aesthetic quality.In the process of sculpture appreciation teaching,it's necessary to find out and master appropriate methods for appreciation of sculpture arts.Based on the unique artistic features of sculpture,systematic teaching cases can be designed.In the teaching design of sculpture appreciating,the artistic language elements of sculpture can be fully considered,and the factors,language forms,themes,and materials of the aesthetic style formation can be analyzed from the space and time,so that the sculpture can be analyzed systematically.Furthermore,the sculpture works can also be compared with other forms of art works.Based on this arrangement of teaching design,it can enable students not only to have a comprehensive and systematic understanding on sculpture appreciation,and grasp relevant art knowledge,but also to master relevant appreciation methods,improve the ability to perceive and recognize beauty,and promote student personality development.As an art teacher of high school,it is required to have the ability to develop and design art courses.For educators,this basic ability is the key and foundation to develop better teaching methods.In the practice of curriculum teaching,a unit teaching can be designed in combination with the multimedia assistance method,the model law,the work appreciation method,and the group cooperative inquiry method for the systematic teaching of sculpture appreciation.The study and discussion of sculpture appreciation teaching,the use of unit teaching can help the author accumulate relevant experiences for the actual teaching in the future,thus leading to more effective teaching and learning.Therefore,this study is of great significance to increase the author's personal experience in the lifelong learning.
