With the development of Information Technology, the modern network-based remote education, as a super impetus for reforms in education fields, has become more and more prominent. This new type of education has three pillars: Hardware, Software, and On-line educational resources. The last factor have gradually turned out to be the very element that decides whether the education will succeed or fail since the advantages in hardware or software are no longer that significant. As an important component of On-line educational resources, on-line courses are the basic unit and core to realize the goals of modern remote education, and naturally, their quality has direct effect upon the outcomes of the remote education.We have developed this network-based courses auto-recording and playing system, which can record courses according to teaching schedule automatically and quickly, relieving the teachers from burdens of learning new and complicated computer skills, and can provide a real-time show or playback of the class by generating automatic information resources playback list as soon as the class is over. By using this system, a lot of man power and materials can be saved, redundancies avoided and efficiency enhanced since it can monitor multiple classrooms and record class activities simultaneously. On the other hand, it also enjoys high interoperability for sharing those courses or integrating them since it can have data connection with previous or future resources management systems through general-purpose date interface. In this sense, it can make the development of on-line courses simplified and standardized.Automatic recording and playing system of network course has a three-layer modular structure, using PHP technique,.Net technique and dynamic database storing and retrieving technique, and is designed to provide modularized functions, structuralized page frame, database storage of webpage contents, and flexible and extensible webpage structure. It can realize functions such as input of teaching schedules, real-time playing of on-line courses, auto-recording of courses and publishing. This system makes up for the scarceness of educational resources as well as preparing a large amount of raw materials for further processing in the future.
