Being a Chinese teacher in Primary School, the author always gets confused at work. The author had the great honor to know Li Jilin in the process of studying teaching problems. Known as the founder of situational teaching. Known as the founder of situational teaching, Li Jilin devoted herself in the teaching to let children learn well and happily. With the continuous practice, she finally found the efficient way to improve the quality of children education, which was named situational teaching. The approach leads to a passionate teaching. The author got down to learning the approach with the great respect for Li Jilin.The paper is concerned with the application of the approach of situational teaching by using documentary method and case study method. The facts proved that the approach is helpful for stimulating students’ enthusiasm for learning, for cultivating pupils imagination and creativity, and for exchanging ideas with students. The advantages are self-evident. However, there are some problems in the practice. For example, the purpose of the scene creation may not be clear, or the teaching opportunity may be uncertain, or the use of multimedia turns out to be too frequent.Aiming at the above problems, the author puts forward three solutions for improving. First, the teaching activities should be student-oriented and the class structure should be optimized. Second, the guidance of the teachers should be valued in the class and teachers are advised to improve their professional capacity. Teachers play an important role in the practice of situational teaching. Thus the improving of teachers’ professional capacity is benefit for promoting teaching efficiency and is helpful for the growth of students. Third, using text can provide students with more practice of using the language.As stated above, students will enjoy much more joy and fulfillment in the class when the three solutions are adopted in the situational teaching in primary school.
