Children social adaptation ability refers to social conditions about the expected level of children take responsibilities of society and independently handle daily life, which ensure children are able to adapt the natural environment and the social environment. Childhood is a key period of the development of social adaptation ability. Apparently, the social adaptation ability during this period is significant for children’s individual development, social relationship, and the growth of harmony in both physical and mental. Outdoors is a vast room which can increase children’s activities range. Outdoor activities not only afford children relaxation of their body and mind, but also experience happiness on playing in the natural environment. Besides, it boosts the opportunities of knowing news friends without any limitation. Therefore, outdoor games can be a method on increasing children’s social adaptation ability both in theory and practice.This report is based on literature searches, questionnaire surveys, field observation, experimentation, interviews and mathematical statistics. For overall comprehending the social adaptation ability of the children in Fuzhou, the investigation is focusing on the children in the five districts of Fuzhou. By analyzing the children in the different districts, grades and gender, it will identify what the differences on social adaptation ability among the children, and figure out the reasons. According to the current situation of the children’s social adaptation ability in Fuzhou and the characteristics of the outdoor games, it intervenes the children’s social adaptation ability by outdoor games which provide the experiential teaching method by experimentation. The result shows that:1, There are some differences exiting on the children’s social adaptation ability in different districts.2, The growth of social adaptation ability increase by the rise of age.3, There are some differences exiting between boys and girls.4, The children experienced the outdoor games experiment gain better performance than the children did not have.5, There are significant differences in the factors of children’s social adaptation ability between the children experienced the outdoor games experiment and the children without.6, Most children adore the outdoor games in the experiment.7, Through the feedbacks from the directors, teachers in the kindergarten and parents, it illustrates that playing outdoor games with other children helps them enhance social relationship, self-confidence, emotional control, and the management to situation of embarrassed.As a consequence, some suggestions are offered.1, The relevant government departments, communities and the kindergartens should increase the attention on the development of children’s social adaptation ability.2, Parents should scientifically develop the view of children education.3, Kindergartens should pay more attention on creating positive outdoor games environment and valuable mental environment.4, Kindergartens need to be encouraged to grant outdoor games as the formal course, and afford some beneficial options of outdoor games.
