In the fierce competition as today’s society, everyone feels the pressures from the surrounding, including the occupational stress. Secondary vocational teachers as important members shoulder the heavy responsibility for the country to train high quality technical workers, so this specificity determines this career in the industry of high-pressure job. So what respects are the teachers’ professional pressure mainly from? Whether it affects their development? I did researches around these related issues.In this paper, referring to the relevant literatures, I elaborated the system about the core concepts of the theory on the teaching profession pressure, and analyzed how the moderate occupational stress will facilitate the development of secondary vocational teachers, and excessive pressures have a negative impact on teachers’physiology, psychology and behavior. I went through questionnaires with 128 secondary vocational teachers from seven secondary vocational schools in Fuzhou in this paper, and in line with the interviews with ten teachers, summarized the differences between demographic factors and the pressures those teachers suffered, summarized the main sources of occupational stresses:the economic and social status, school management, student factors, teaching and self-survival and development. Pointing to those pressure sources, I developed this paper from three levels on the government, organizations and individual teachers, proposed corresponding solutions to release secondary vocational teachers’ occupational stress.
