As a new way of evaluation, performance evaluation focuses on the evaluation of student learning process and learning individual, the evaluation process is more fair, just and comprehensive, which was used more and more widely in school curriculum evaluation and classroom abroad. In this paper, many methods were used to discuss the relationship between performance evaluation and middle school mathematics teaching which from the questionnaire survey and the standard convergence angle of view, such as literature research method, experimental method, questionnaire survey method, casestudy method and so on. Meanwhile, through the form of questionnaire survey, the author investigated the current situation of middle school mathematics classroom teaching evaluation, and discussed the performance evaluation in middle school mathematics teaching the feasibility and application of strategies and suggestions. Research shows that, the performance evaluation actively used in middle school mathematicsclassroom, not only can promote the further improve for the students on the basis of the original, fully tap the inherent potential of students, effective play to their respective strengths, help students become more profound understanding of the self; also can help the students to establish confidence in mathematics learning, to meet thedevelopment needs of each the students, improve the students’ mathematics application ability, promote the comprehensive, healthy development of students. At present, the new curriculum reform for more than ten years since, already for the performance evaluation application in math teaching in junior high school provides a good opportunity, taking into account the teaching contents of junior high school mathematics can be roughly divided into algebra, geometry, statistics, function and other four pieces of content, therefore, Research on the application of performance evaluation in junior middle school mathematics classroom can be around with the expansion of this four big content areas. The thesis combines middle school mathematics teaching practice, the specific cases respectively on each content design, analysis of each case are related evaluation criteria, the evaluation standards and task. Meanwhile aiming at the performance evaluation used in middle school mathematics classroom, puts forward several suggestions:based on the characteristics of students’ physical and mental development, the teachers shall pertinently draw up a task; in the setting of performance task, teachers shall try to avoid the implementation of time is too long, the number of people involved too much; it’s necessary to regularly organize the teachers’ training (such as summer training), strengthen the exchange and cooperation between teachers; in the implementation of performance evaluation, the teachers shall be confirmed the evaluation target correctly, selected multiple evaluation subjects, choose the evaluation tools correctly, batted and made proper evaluation criteria, analysis carefully and feedback the evaluation results in time.
