Research On The Present Condition Of Leisure Sports’ Participation Of Middle Class In Linyi City And Its Influential Factors

Leisure sports is one of the important ways of having healthy and civilized life, it can not only improve our health but also can promote the human spirit, further speaking, it is a vital way of constructing the well-off society, building a harmonious society and promoting the comprehensive development of human. Since the reform and opening up, our social stratification phenomenon is more obvious, many experts studied the concept and function of the middle class, and pointed out that the middle class was the main force of social stability, was the communication bridge of the upper and the lower class, so it is very necessary to study the middle class. Foreign experts had the earlier and thorough study of middle-class leisure sports but domestic scholars mainly concentrated on the concept, content, significance, they mainly put emphasis on the large and medium-sized cities rather than small cities. Linyi, an emerging city, has a great development in economy especially commodity wholesale and logistics, and enjoys “the logistics, trade and business city” reputation. On the basis of the reputation, Linyi has created a large number of middle class. They accumulated wealth at the same time also realize the importance of physical health, so how to guide them take part in leisure sports activities, to improve their health is a severe problem.On the basis of the concept of leisure sports, this research deeply discusses the middle class and the status of leisure sports. The subjects in the study are 3000 middle class in Linyi city, the instruments utilized in this study include the questionnaire, the interview, the mathematical statistics, the logic analysis and other methods. The research first studies the current status, the characteristics and the existing problems of Linyi city leisure sports activities of the middle class, and then to find out the main factors which influence their recreational sports participation behavior, and at last the author puts forward some measures for the development of Linyi and the similar city leisure sports according to the actual situation and characteristics of Linyi cityThe results analysis shows that for the middle class in Linyi city, they have the better conditions, the abundant leisure time and high income, but they received little education. For the urban middle class, they mainly spend a lot of time on media and Internet, for men, they like surfing on the Internet, watching TV, doing sports activities, while for women, they mainly like going shopping, surfing on the Internet, watching TV, doing sports activities; the first main purpose of attending leisure sports is to improve their health and the second is the social level, so the space of attending leisure sports is mainly free; even the urban middle class have a correct idea on the leisure sports, but the number of physical exercise is less, so the awareness of attending is not coordinated with the sports practice; the structure of sports consumption is mainly focused on the physical consumption, while the service consumption is less; the organization of leisure sports is unreasonable and lack of sports instructors.To the present situation and influence factors, the author puts forward the corresponding measures and suggestions: to cultivate modern leisure sports consciousness; to introduce the recreational sports products and projects; to employ social sports instructors; to develop sports tourism resources and to set up the sports places and clubs.
