Construction of teaching staff is directly related to the development of educational objects——students, while the effect of construction of elementary school teachers will be more distinct for the particularity of the educational objects. This paper focuses on the study of the effect of construction of elementary school teachers on students’ development based on the survey result of the construction of elementary school teachers in D district of Zhoushan City, and analyzes the problems existing in group structure and individual quality of island elementary school teachers and digs out the reasons for the problems from four-dimensions, namely group structure configuration, professional training, career identity and physical and mental health. Meanwhile, the paper puts forward the principles and approaches of optimization of island elementary school teachers construction, and provides some relevant cases studies. The main points of the research are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction part, as logical starting point of this study, which elaborates the research background and significance of the study, the definition of the concepts, research content, methods and objects and literatures.The second chapter concentrates on the effect of construction of elementary school teachers on students’ development from two perspectives——group structure and individual quality of elementary school teachers.The third chapter presents the survey result of current situation of construction of island elementary school teachers. Through analysis, questionnaire and interviews, the writer conducts a research on group structure configuration, teachers’ professional identity, professional training, physical and mental health status about elementary school teachers construction in D district of Zhoushan City, and draws a conclusion.The fourth chapter involves the problems and causes about island elementary school teachers construction. Based on the survey result and specific cases in D district of Zhoushan City, the paper is devoted to dig out the problems and causes in elementary school teachers admittance and configuration, professional training, professional sense of belonging and social support system and so on, and provide a research direction for the principles and methods of optimization of elementary school teachers construction.The fifth chapter puts forward the principles and methods of optimization about the construction of island elementary school teachers, and the solution to the existing problems in the policy and practical level.The sixth chapter is about the reflection and limitations of the study, and the prospects for the post-study.In this paper, through the analysis of the literature research, field survey and case, the author thinks that the structure of elementary school teachers has an important effect on the development of students. There exist a series of problems of the island elementary school teacher group structure, individual professional development and social support system and so on. Through analysis of the causes, the author puts forward that, based on the development of the students, the government, education administration and social systems should be targeted to adjust the elementary school teachers access, configuration and incentive policies and improve the teacher recruitment, training and physical examination, to optimize the island elementary school teachers team construction.
