Modern psychology research shows, metacognition is the core component of intelligence,then affects the effectiveness and feasibility of the learners’ cognitive process. Metacognition relative research has made great achievements in recent years, application research of discipline is one of the important research hotspot, correlation studies between metacognition level and chemical bondjing learning is an important refinement direction.Chemical bonding is the core concepts of chemical curriculum system. The chemical bonding is abstract and complex, at the same time chemical bonding preconception also easily brought about the misconception of chemical bonding. Students in the learning may produce a certain degree of psychological barriers. Therefore, starting from the discussion of students learning, exploring the correlation between metacognitive level and concept learning of chemical bonding, is helpful for teachers to adopt feasible strategies to promote students transition and formation of the concept.Research used a self-designed questionnaire to measure high students’ metacognitive level and the concept of chemical bonding application, which has good reliability and validity indicators. The following conclusions through data analysis: high school students’ metacognitive level normally distributed, but the overall level is not high still has room to improve; metacognitive level is correlation observably to the concept learning of chemical bonding; the correlative degree between metacognitive level and covalent bonding larger than ionic bonding; different dimension of metacognition level have different effects on concept learning of chemical bonding; metacognitive monitoring level has maximum effect on concept learning of chemical bonding,metacognitive summary minimum.According to research conclusions, this paper puts forward that the teachers should consciously cultivate the students’ metacognitive level in chemical teaching, such as setting self-questioning sheet. Then puts forward some practical suggestions on teaching chemical bonding: adjusting teaching sequence of the covalent bond and ionic bond; elaborately design teaching situation, rational utilization of existing schema for teaching; teaching through a variety of models, add visual way.
