Any subject,if the starting points are not some concepts as analysis, judgment, reasoning and comprehensive and logical thinking,it could not reveal the essence of this subject, and is difficult to form a scientific and complete system and structure, also it will lose its value. The content of physics can be divided into physical phenomena, facts, concepts and theories. For example,if there is no any series of concepts like electric charge, electric field, electric field intensity, magnetic field, magnetic induction intensity, electromagnetic induction,it can not form a "electromagnetic" system. At present, students generally think physics is difficult to understand, and to solve the problems, the reason mainly has two aspects:on the one hand, the reason is that the concepts Physics includes are variety and abstract. On the other hand,it is because most of the students do not participate in physical curriculum learning well, therefore they cannot learn the concepts well.In the process of being a teaching assistant of "electromagnetism",I found that the students in the class showed a lower participation in the class,after-school exercises and examinations reflected greater learning difficulties——students haven’t grasp the concepts thoroughly.I think there may be a relationship between these two phenomena,in order to explore the connection between the two from qualitative and quantitative aspects, according to the "electromagnetism"course as an example,I did a one-term research. The early stage of the research,I interviewed ten students who were selected randomly about the learning patterns.According to the interview results,I designed the extracurricular learning participation table and researched their extracurricular participation.I researched the class participation by classroom observation. Then,I used the normalization method to integrate the two.At the same time, the author investigated the condition of the students’ grasp of concepts in the three aspects:the online test questions, the classroom test, the homework after class. After that,I analyzed the correlation between the two by Pearson correlation analysis. The correlation was surveyed under the absence of intervention. In order to further understand the promoting of the intervention to the students’ concepts learning,According to the survey results and the students’ basic knowledge, life background, teacher evaluation,I selected some special cases and did extracurricular intervention. The intervention strategies include:1.Releasing preview guide papers will help students do the preview efficiently and orderly.2.Releasing online physical concept tests will help students detect test results.3.Solving the problems together will help students solve the questions from mutual preview before class, classroom learning and after-school review.4.The cultivation of good learning will help the students master the learning skills and achieve a multiplier effect.5.Releasing extracurricular learning data record will help the students understand their learning participation and improve students’ self control ability.According to the implementation of the above strategies,I found something below:1.The correlation degree between the students’ class participation and the condition of concept learning:the significant level is 0.011,for significant correlation, the correlation degree was 0.317,for positive and weak correlation.2.The correlation degree between the students’extracurricular participation and the condition of concept learning:the significant level is 0.246,for non significant correlation.3.The correlation between students’ participation and the condition of concept learning:the significance level is 0.020,for significant correlation, the correlation coefficient was 0.291,positive and weak correlation.4.After teachers’ intervention, the extracurricular participation of the special cases were significantly improved and the situation of the students’ grasp of is improved, which indicates that with intervention, students’extracurricular participation and concept acquisition is relevant. In addition,I also found that:1.Most of the students in the classroom prefer to listening, and are accustomed to passive learning, lacking of learning initiative.I think teachers can use questioning teaching method, task driven teaching method to make students be used to speaking and doing actively, also can reduce the problem and task difficulty to increase students’ personal achievement satisfaction to make the habits of the students into a hobby, and to transform the external condition into intrinsic motivation to increase students’ learning motivation.2.The average level of participation in the classroom is 0.6705,the concentration of the students in the classroom is low,the ability of self restraint is also a lack. The suggestion is the teacher can increase some debate, video playback, experimental teaching program that can stimulate students’ interest in learning and to enable students to form a good self-control.3.The students’ classroom participation decline overall.I suggest that the teachers can compress the review part in five minutes before the start of new course, the latter part can be fulled of video playback, experimental teaching, discussion or practice and other aspects to increase students’ classroom participation.4.In the aspect of students’ extracurricular communication with people, more students are inclined to communicate with the students to discuss rather than the teaching assistants or the teacher. It indicated that the students may have a sense of fear for teaching assistants or teachers. It is suggested that teachers should take the initiative to contact the students, find out the bad habits of their learning behavior and correct them.
