Textbook is the most basic and the most important curriculum resources. It is the main basis and teachers’ teaching curriculum reform is bound to the textbook reform. In various areas of Guizhou province since the implement of new curriculum reform, according to the actual situation,using a different version of the junior middle school chemistry teaching material and the teaching material are set up in different "reading programs". How are these readings used in the teaching activity status?Whether do they play its proper teaching function? How do Teachers and students effectively use the teaching material setting in "reading" ? These questions and others are topics that are very worthy of investigating and researching.This thesis aimed at Shanghai education press(hereinafter referred to as the Shanghai textbooks) and people’s education press(o ’clock). In the two versions of the junior middle school chemistry teaching material,"reading programs" carry out comparative analysis research. It summed up the similarities and differences among the different characters, the situation of distribution, the content of setting up and the way it shows up,especially between the widening their horizon, observing and thinking,and prompting methods in Shanghai textbooks and the after-school experiments, data cards, and chemistry, technology, society in people’s education press. The similarities and differences, and combinating thedifferent situations of junior middle schools chemistry teaching materials are used in in different areas of Guizhou province, I choose the teachers and students of three middle schools in Zhengan, Zunyi, three middle schools in Zhijing, Bijie to investigate and make survey about implementation of Reading Column in chemistry books of middle schools.According to the survey of the usage of different versions of textbooks being used in different areas, I’ll find out the existing problems and analyze their reasons. Meanwhile I draw lessons from excellent case study to put forward the effective advice of using different materials in"reading”, and combine with the actual situation between Zhengan, zunyi,and Zhijin, Bijie. To use the “reading” effectively, the article will afford some certain lessons to the teachers who struggle in the first line of junior high school chemistry classes.
