As an important part of physical education teaching in colleges and universities, physique art course is the major means for female college students to improve their physical fitness, create a perfect body type, cultivate elegant temperament and enhance self-confidence and expression.Adopting the methods of literature material, questionnaire, Delphi, mathematical statistics and experimentation and oriented the students’ demands, this thesis tries to build a more perfect physique art course by preparing, screening, optimizing and setting of the indicators of physique art course. This thesis is designed to stimulate students’ interest in learning, improve their temperament of female college students, play a regulating and guiding role in physique art course teaching, provide guarantee for improving teaching quality of physique art courses and so as to effectively promote the development of physique art courses.First, design student questionnaires and expert questionnaires, distribute them to target students and experts; recover and sort the questionnaires to learn about status quo and deficiencies of the setting of physique art courses in colleges and to analyze the main factors to affect the development of physique art courses. Then, protocol the three indicators of theories, techniques and skills that need to be optimized according to the guiding ideology, basic principle and targets of the course optimization settings; filtrate, optimize and set the indicator content to build a new and more perfect physique art course system. Finally, adopt experiment to test the optimized content and system of physique art course content and test the important roles that new course content and system play in stimulating students’ interest in learning, improving learning efficiency and promoting the development of physique art course.This thesis draws the following conclusions:(1) The current development of physique art course in colleges and universities cannot meet the increasing demand of female students;(2) The optimized setting of physique art course in colleges and universities can effectively promote the development of physique art course;(3) The physique art course in colleges and universities mainly include theories, techniques, skills and course evaluation;(4) Diversified course content is beneficial to the stimulation of students’ learning interest of physique art course;(5) Theory teaching helps enhance students’ learning efficiency;(6) Diversified teaching methods help improve the quality of teaching of physique art course.This thesis puts forward the following suggestions:(1) The content of physique art course should be constantly updated to meet the demands of students;(2) Schools should increase the physique art course hours appropriately;(3) Schools should constantly perfect site facilities and equipments to provide a solid material foundation for physique art course;(4) Schools should continuously enrich the faculties of physique art course;(5) Teachers of physique art course should constantly change their teaching methods and improve teaching quality.
