The problem of curriculum content takes the main place in curriculum, as a part of senior high school mathematics curriculum, Plane Analytic Geometry has its particular value in training the students' thought ability. So it is necessary to study the content of Plane Analytic Geometry in senior high school by analyzing the concrete textbook to the background of the mathematics curriculum reform. Therefore, this paper on the overall question is: how does the Plane Analytic Geometry set up in senior high school?This paper is using the document method and text analysis. By analyzing the Plane Analytic Geometry content in the textbook (Version.A) which is published by the People's Education Press(PEP) to study how does it set up and what path does it adhere to. All the study is based on the requirements in"Ordinary High School Mathematics Curriculum Sandards (experimental)"issued by the China's Ministry of Education in 2003.In this paper, the writer mainly discuss the convergence of Plane Analytic Geometry between the stage of compulsory education and senior high school, the normative and the logic of it. Through analyzing the setting of the content briefly, the writer reaches the following three conclusions:Firstly, Plane Analytic Geometry's setting of the content in senior high school is based on the stage of compulsory education, it reflects the good linkage between them.Secondly, compared with the past, this mathematics curriculum reform pays more attention to the principal position of student studying. It increases the number of mathematical activity, such as"consider","explore".Thirdly, in the requirements of"Standard", the Plane Analytic Geometry's setting of the content in senior high school could adjust flexibly based on the specific circumstances.Meanwhile, in the writer's opinion, it is inappropriate to put"Space Cartesian Coordinate System"in the compulsory modules, it could be set in the"Space Vector and Three-dimensional Geometry"which is in the selected content.In addition, based on the analysis, the paper gives some superficial suggestions about the mathematics curriculum reform in senior high school: Firstly, Plane Analytic Geometry should focus on the basic knowledge such as straight line, circle, conic curve. At the same time, it should strengthen the basic skills like the ability to space imagination, solve computing and so on. For one thing, the setting of the content should note on the system, logic and convergence of knowledge, for another thing, it should reflect the different requirements at different levels in the"Standard".Secondly, the information technology in senior high school should be guided by appropriate principle. In the textbook (Version.A) published by the People's Education Press (PEP),add a great deal of mathematics activities about information technology, but the"quantity"and the"degree"should be grasped reasonably. The setting of information technology should be consistent with the cognitive level of student and the school's objective conditions.
