In recent years, with the aggravation of social problems and national attention to welfare, social work entered a rapid development period. Children’s social work is one of the social work service, social work professional service concept play a essential role in children’s physical and mental health problems. With the wave of social work development, the major domestic welfare institutes response to the call of the government, introducing elements of professional social work,setting the position of social work, purchasing social work services. However, social work is a "borrowed" foreign professional, it’s professional development have the challenge of localization which is more prominent and serious in the practice field. social work is facing a wave of localization is facing a wave of localization dilemma how to adapt to the plight of the local culture to carry out professional services, witch will undoubtedly become the bottleneck of social work development.This study is based on the background of government-run child welfare in stitute, from the perspective of embedded theory and take practical social work er role as the basis, Through the analysis of professional social work practice in the government-run child welfare institute, to explore the embedded status of prof essional social work in children’s welfare homes, To investigate the professional social work in children’s welfare institutions embedded condition, using the ba sic problems of the theory of embeddedness To analysis and and discuss th e plight, and puts forward some solutions and suggestions to solve the problem.This study summarizes and analyzes the dilemma faced by the embedding proces s, which are mainly from the embedded subject, embedded object, the embedding process, the effect of embeddedness, and put forward the way and outlook for the four levels of the dilemma: First, optimizing the social work professional courses training mode, promoting the localization process of social work students in the practice of professional methods and enhancing the professional social worker professional identity; Second, actively exploring a foster family support model, expanding social work for staves of government-run child welfare institute, exploring and innovating forms of activities to stimulate children’s interest; Third, improving child welfare social worker identity recognition, establishing healthy cooperation mechanism between the government-run child welfare institute and professional social workers; Finally, taking good service for preliminary investigation, improving the evaluation mechanisms after service. The way is essentially the new attempt of localization development of social work with children and new exploration of residential service model.
