The function of geography course is to enable students to master necessary geographical knowledge, enhance the student’s geography learning ability and survival ability. the significance of geography curriculum is making students form the discipline thinking in the teaching process, teachers should pay close attention to the changing structure of the students’ thinking. How the geographic literacy for middle school students, should be how to develop the students’ geographical thinking, this is a concern of this paper. For a comprehensive understanding of the current study of geography, provide analysis basis for the implementation of geography teaching, based on the Australian scholar professor John biggs, created "SOLO classification evaluation" as a research tool, using the method of questionnaire method and experimental method, in the minds of students development carries on the teaching design, study how to adjust teaching mode in the process of curriculum implementation, stimulate students learning motivation, etc., for the reform in teaching under the new form of raise the level of middle school geography teaching to carry on the beneficial discussion. The results of the survey show that:First, different students have different thinking level, teachers need to according to the thinking level, targeted for different teaching, promote the students’ thinking structure of ascension;Second, different knowledge belong to different thinking levels, teachers need to understand the teaching content, to divide knowledge, use different teaching methods, make the students understand the knowledge system;The author thinks that in order to better carry out the geography teaching, we can do the following aspects: first, to comply with the cognitive law, establish the teaching goal; Second, the research knowledge, construct the framework; Third, pay attention to the structure of the problem, optimization question.
