SOLO classification theory holds that the response level of students to a specific problem can be divided into five levels,which provides an effective measure for judging students' thinking and cognition level.The geography curriculum standard for senior high schools(2017 Edition)puts forward new requirements for the investigation and improvement of students' thinking and cognition level,and SOLO classification theory is required as a reference.Guided by the core concept of SOLO classification theory,this paper constructs the process framework of geography teaching design,applies it to practical teaching cases,and analyzes its rationality and effectiveness.The content is divided into the following three aspects: firstly,combined with the specific content,this paper expounds how SOLO classification theory is combined with teaching material analysis,learning situation analysis,teaching goal determination,teaching evaluation and other links in teaching design,and analyzes the necessity of combination;Secondly,based on SOLO classification theory,the teaching design is carried out by taking Chapter 5 vegetation in Volume 1 of geography compulsory for senior high school as an example,which is implemented according to the guidance strategy.Under the guidance of SOLO classification theory,each teaching link is set to ensure the fluency of students' thinking logic development and the rationality of each link of teaching design.The purpose is to develop students' thinking cognitive level and cultivate the core quality of geography;Finally,taking two parallel classes of GZ high school as the experimental object,the teaching design based on SOLO classification theory is applied in the experimental class.Through data analysis,student interviews and other means,it is confirmed that compared with the traditional teaching mode,students' classroom performance is more active and their thinking and cognition level is improved from low level to high level.The experiment shows that the application of SOLO classification theory in teaching design not only improves the teaching effect,but also provides students with a ladder to independently improve their cognitive level,stimulate their interest in learning,and help students master new learning methods such as deep exploration.Based on SOLO classification theory,geography teaching design can not only stimulate students' interest in geography learning and improve their learning initiative,but also make students' logical level leap across.The reform and innovation of teaching design from the perspective of SOLO classification theory has profound development significance.
