With the rapid development of the world, China Undertakes an important historical missions and the international responsibilities and obligations. As one of the most widely used language in the world, English has been an important tool of international communication, technology and cultural exchange.In China, it is necessary to set up English curriculum, English teaching is not only learning words and grammar, but also nurturing talent,improving the international competitiveness and the ability of international communication.English teaching is the weakest in the rural basic education. As for this, this research takes Weiling Country in Guizhou province as a case, and starts from improving English teaching of specially contracted teachers in rural junior high school to find the factors that influence the teaching, and intends to put forward the corresponding strategies.This dissertation is divide into six parts:Part one: Introduction. From English teaching of specially contracted teachers in the rural junior high school in Western China,the part illustrates the reason why we choose this project and research significance, defines some concepts such as specially contracted teachers scheme, specially contracted teachers,teaching qualifications and so on, focuses on the theoretical basis of the thesis and reviews the literature about teaching of specially.Part two: theoretical basis. This part analyses several theoretical basis.Part three: present situation investigation. In order to fully and really react present situation of English teaching in Weining country, this study is from five aspects: workload of specially contracted teachers, teaching qualifications, teaching ability,learning of students and students satisfaction of English teaching to investigate,induce and analyze.Part four: the existing main problems. Mainly through the questionnaire, interview and classroom observation to undertake search, found that influence English teaching quality in rural junior high school are following aspects: teachers’ teaching,students’ learning and from three aspects to analyze: environment,specially contracted teachers and other aspects extract the main reason for the current problems.Part five: strategies. According to the reasons for the problems of English teaching in rural junior high school, this part discusses the strategies to improve the English teaching improving living and teaching environment of specially contracted teachers,strengthening teachers training, organizing English activities,Optimizing the allocation of teachers’ resources, improving the evaluation system.Conclusion. On the basis of my investigation, the paper summaries some views on the English teaching in rural junior high school and point out some inadequacies of this research.
