| Teachers’ job satisfaction is an attitude and emotional experience of whether teachers are satisfied with all aspects of job or not,according to their own standard system of job evaluation.This study investigates the status of teachers’ job satisfaction in Hengyang,Hunan Province.Based on the research result of teachers’ job satisfaction,this paper deeply analyzes the causes of teachers’ satisfaction situation,which can provide an important reference for improving the quality of rural education,stabilizing the rural teachers and enhancing the management level of rural schools.On the basis of sorting out and analyzing the existing research as well as referring to Feng Bolin’s job satisfaction scale and other related research results,teacher’s questionnaire was accomplished.The research was mainly based on questionnaire survey method,supplemented by personal interview method.Specially Contracted Teachers in four counties(cities)of Hengyang were selected in this survey.The effective data were analyzed by software SPSS,and the conclusions are as follows:Generally speaking,the job satisfaction of SpeciallyContracted Teachers is on average.Among the ten latitudes,teachers’ job satisfaction on colleague relationship,the ego sense of achievement,social support and occupation identification is above the average.Teachers’ job satisfaction on students’ cooperation and organization and management is on average.Teachers’ job satisfaction on promotion and development,work environment,work income and work intensity is below the average.From ten background factors,the differences of job satisfaction of Specially Contract Teachers are as follows:the job satisfaction on social support and occupation identification is different because of teachers’ sex difference.The job satisfaction on colleague relationship and promotion and development is obviously different thanks to teachers’ different marriage situations.The job satisfaction on work environment,ego sense of achievement and organization and management is different due to teachers ’ diplomas difference.The job satisfaction on promotion and development is different because of teachers’ different teaching age.The job satisfaction on the ego sense of achievement,students’ cooperation,social support and occupation identification is different because of teachers’ different school types.The jobsatisfaction on work intensity and the ego sense of achievement is different because of different school locations.The job satisfaction on work intensity,students’ cooperation,social support and occupation identification is different because of teachers’ different technical post.The job satisfaction on work intensity is different because of teachers’ different working post.The job satisfaction on work intensity,social support and occupation identification is different own to teachers’ different work salaries.Based on above research results,this study analyzes the reasons for the current situation of teachers’ job satisfaction,and put forward to some suggestions to improve teachers’ job satisfaction.These suggestions are mainly introduced from four aspects that include national policies,social support,school management and teachers themselves. |
