A Social Work Intervention Research Of "One-child Died Families" Under The Strength Perspective

The one-child policy has been carried out in nation-wide since the 1970 s. During the 40 years, the one-child policy has effectively controlled the China’s population growth, reducing the pressure of the development of various national causes However, when the only child has become an increasingly large social group, the one-child families also leave potential risk of living to themselves. They may become “the only-child lost family” because of the child’s death from illness or accidents, which will bring great sadness, a system crash and the end of the family life cycle.Therefore, showing love to “the only-child lost family” affects the harmony and benign development of the whole society.Based on distinguishing some concepts, this thesis takes the study of case involved under the strength perspective as its theme, selects a “one child died family” in Baoding as its object, uses helping methods and techniques in the casework, carries out the analysis of the “the only-child lost family” with communication barriers. This thesis firstly discusses the concept of “the only-child lost family” in details, defining the theoretical perspectives and the core concepts, and then introduces the specific process of casework. Finally, it analyzes the entire process of intervention, coming to significant conclusions and implications. This thesis is an exploratory study of “the only-child lost family” casework, the conclusion of which are not universal, but able to provide a little reference to help “the only-child lost family”.
