Since the early starting to have the Chinese classes, the Philippines has a quite mature teaching system. The first one was to analysis 100 pictures of teachers’ blackboard-writing. The other one was a investigation to 170 Filipino students. The survey included the content, form of expression, written specification, structure, diversity and the details of blackboard-writing. The result of the survey showed that there are many problems with teachers’ blackboard-writing, such as not suitable for students’ requirements, random and stiff operating, impractical. The reason of these problems included the lack of communication between the teacher and students, teachers’ superficial understanding of blackboard-writing, the neglecting of blackboard-writing and so on. To solve these problems, this thesis brought forward some suggestions, such as having more communication between the teacher and students, paying more attention to blackboard-writing, building up more courses about blackboard-writing in the college, giving more blackboard-writing related training by Hanban. The investigation can provide empirical samples for Chinese teachers to make better use of the blackboard-writing. It can also improve the effect of teaching in the foreign students’ classroom.
