Learning motivation is the internal motive factor to promote students learning activities; it also plays an important role in the process of students’ academic development. The cultivation of learning motivation has been a hot issues which the theoretical researchers, front-line teachers, and parents pay close attention to. Psychology studies have found that there are many kinds of learning motivation, the influence of different learning motivation effect is also different, different learning motivation and the cause of formation has close relation with the students’ age, knowledge level, family background and the way of school education.In this paper, the learning motivation of junior high school students in the case school was systematically studied. Through literature review, research and analysis in theory, define the specific concept of the learning motivation, junior school students and the investigation and study. On this basis, sum up the specific path and method of the junior school students’ learning motivation, studied the source and mechanism action of the internal, external, social and achievement four types of learning motivation. Through questionnaire, carried on the investigation and statistics of students’ learning motivation situation in randomly selected classes of case school three grades, sum up the distribution of students’ learning motivation level and type, and carried on the comprehensive analysis with students’ learning achievement. Conducted the one-to-one interviews with the typical students and teachers, carried the further analysis and researches on the sources and the influence factors of the learning motivation. According to the research conclusion, puts some suggestions and countermeasures for improving and maintaining the overall level of the students’ learning motivation, promoting the internal motivation, and some specific measures and methods also were given.This study is not only beneficial to enrich and perfect for the research of junior school students’ learning motivation, but also is advantageous to teachers in the case school adopting specific countermeasure and the suggestion to further stimulate students’ learning motivation, improve the level of the students’ academic performance, promote more reasonable and good development for students.
