The purpose of Classroom teaching of basic commonality curriculum is to cultivate students’ compound professional ability and career competence in higher vocational college. However, low efficiency of classroom teaching is still the brute fact that the educators of higher vocational colleges have to face, which is the obvious obstacle for further cultivating students’ vocational ability and qualification, also seriously affect students’ specialized courses learning afterwards.Plenty of research can be found with the effectiveness of teaching, especially in the field of elementary education, while relevant research in the field of vocational education is at the stage of exploration, which result in limited and low mature research materials on effectiveness of teaching in higher vocational education. Higher vocational education can’t use existing research results of elementary education directly. Aiming at the features and requirements of higher vocational teaching, classroom teaching of basic commonality curriculum in higher vocational education should find the methods to improve the effectiveness of its own.This essay starts with the low efficiency of classroom teaching of basic commonality curriculum in higher vocational colleges, and analyses its reason of inefficiency, the main factors influencing the effectiveness of classroom teaching. Based on the objective reality of higher vocational teaching, this paper, by applying theory explanation, is to find out methods and strategies to improve effectiveness of classroom teaching from the perspective idea of teaching-learning subject. Through the contrastive analysis of the inefficient classroom teaching and the efficient classroom teaching,a lot of thought over factors influencing the effective classroom teaching, and taking Practical Writing Course as an example for empirical analysis. This paper draws conclusion that four aspects of forming effective classroom teaching are stimulating learning interest of high vocational students, enhancing quality of teacher, establishing curriculum comprehensive appraisal mechanism and strengthening curriculum practice efficiency.
