In spring, 2013, the Advanced Placement of Chinese University came into practice, of which calculus is the core course with the purpose of enabling those senoir high students who are talented in maths to come into contacts with college math in advance, and promote their maths attainment, making preparations for their further study in college.This paper mainly applies the qualitative research methods, including literature review,action research as well as teachers and students review. By means of literature review, we can learn the background and development of the Advanced Placement of Chinese University, and thereby come up with the idea that setting up the course of CAP calculus in four-star senior high school meets the demands of students’ further development. Through teachers and students interview, we can know their thoughts and advice on the practice. By means of action research, we can make an analysis of the objective, structure and contents of CAP calculus, explore a set of teaching methods and strategies of calculus, which are suitable for students’ cognitive level and knowledge structure, as well as put forward some reference comments on students’ learning methods and inspection appraisal.The conclusion goes as follows: setting up the course of CAP calculus in four-star senior high school is of positive significance; content setting of CAP calculus should take students’ learning ability into consideration; it’s teaching pattern should adopt suitable methods and strategies in accordance with teaching contents; the evaluation methods adopted should be procedural and diversified. At the end of the thesis, suggetions on the structure, teaching pattern and evaluation mechanism of CAP calculus are put forward.
