The Study Of Helping Students Improve The Level Of Scientific Inquiry By Means Of Demonstration Experiment

Students’ independence investigation is the core of Science learning. Therefore, students’ capacity of independence investigation can directly influence their achievements in science learning.Demonstrative experiments, which can inspire, encourage and demonstrate, play a significant role in students’ development of their scientific inquiry capacity. Nowadays in our Science teaching, mere focus on students’ independence investigation without the attention to the functions of demonstrative experiments has become barriers to developing students’ skills of scientific investigation.The development of operation can be divided into four stages: operational orientations, operational imitation, operational integration and operational proficiency. Therefore, Students’ motivation of learning, timing and means of demonstration as well as the strategy of presentation can all affect the level of student’s capacity.According to the current situation of students learning, this project focuses on the following three aspects: Firstly, focus on the right timing of the presentation of the demonstrative experiments to help improve students’ capacity of investigation. Secondly, focus on the right way to present demonstrative experiments, which can arouse students’ desire for investigation and can efficiently develop students investigation skills. Last but not least, focus on the strategy of the presentation of demonstrative experiments to explore the right way and strategy of students’ improvement in scientific investigation skills and develop students’ capacity of investigation based on the masterof good investigation skills.The three aspects of this subject research is the principle "there is a bit of me in you and a bit of you in me”the formation and the development of scientific inquiring of students. They are in use now. After one-year’s practising and studying,the subject enables students to have a sustai nable development of comprehensive abilities, improves the students’ scientific inquir ing capacity, and makes it possible to teach in a "light burdens, but high quality" way.
