Objective: Through comparative analysis on physical, mental health, social adaptation ability of students, this article studies the health status of students in the Work-integrated Learning model to arouse people’s attention on the health status of higher vocational students in the Work-integrated Learning mode and to provide theoretical reference for higher vocational colleges to set up and reform the curriculum.Methods: Randomly choose students from three public and private colleges and universities which established Work-integrated Learning teaching mode and Ordinary Full-time teaching mode concurrently and distributed in the south of Jiangsu Province, in the middle of Jiangsu Province as the research objects, among which the ordinary full-time students were 800, Work-integrated Learning mode students were 800 and the total number of objects were 1600; physical education of Ordinary Full-time classes perform in accordance with the Integration mode,while the Work-integrated Learning perform in accordance with Three Base Type physical education teaching model; adopt comprehensive research methods include literature data method, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics method, inductive method, comparative research method, logical method, etc. to compare the physical, mental health, social adaptation ability changes of the students under different education modes before and after the year..Results:(1) At the beginning of the entrance: ① Physical health-- both students in Ordinary Full-time classes and students in Work-integrated Learning classes were not satisfactory. Most of the results belonged to pass level. The qualified rate was lower than the National Student Physical Health Standard 85%. Meanwhile the students in Full-time classes and Work-integrated Learning classes had no significant difference. ② Mental health-- the mental health status of students in Full-time classes were much better than the average conditions of national youth group, and except the terrorist factor, other factor index of Full time classes were higher than Work-integrated Learning classes. Meanwhile there was no significant difference. ③ Social adaptation ability-- the social adaptability of students in Full-time classes and Work-integrated Learning classes was in a very unsatisfactory condition, and there was no significant difference between the two classes.(2) After a year’s training, each class under their own training mode: ① Physical health the physical fitness test scores of students in Full-time classes were significantly decreased, while the average physical fitness test score of the students in Full time classes somewhat increased. ② Mental health-- the mental health level of the students in the Full-time classes and Work-integrated Learning classes has been improved, and Work-integrated Learning classes improved more than Full-time classes especially in the four factors of physical, interpersonal sensitivity, depression and anxiety. ③ Social adaptation ability-- the social adaptability of the students in Full-time classes and Work-integrated Learning classes was significantly improved, and the students in Work-integrated Learning classes had more significance.Conclusion:(1) the physical education plan and method of Work-integrated Learning talents training mode is deficient on the aspect of building up the students’ physique, and the physical constitution of students is in a downward trend.(2) Through the cultivation in the university for a year, the ability of students to adapt to the society has been greatly improved.(3) Under the two kinds of personnel training mode, the psychological health level of students has improved, especially in some factors of mental health, meanwhile Work-integrated Learning talent training mode is more effective than the ordinary talent training mode and the effect is significant.
