Abstract:This papers is based on the Chinese textbooks of Sue as researching object.First I must admit that the new curriculum reform gives the new blood to Chinese textbooks, making the teaching more lively. It offers more opportunities. For example, it makes our traditional classroom more freedom and independence. It also gives teachers the chances to develop their profession. To school, it can contribute to its reform. But everything has two sides, so does the curriculum reform, switching the role of the teachers and students, the new elements in class, so teachers and students will face more challenges in the future.The focus of this paper is not to discuss the advantages of the teaching material and opportunities it offers, but as the first-line teacher, I want to discuss the disadvantages of it in the course of teaching. The purpose of it is to improve and refresh the teaching material, making it more close to realty and giving teachers and more service. Teaching material is the medium between courses and teaching, the importance of it is so obvious. The exam is also an important method to test teachers and students. The exam is closely related to teaching material, which is vital.The following is several aspects to discuss it. The first chapter is concerning the advantages of the text. The second chapter is to point out the shortcoming of the teaching material. It will lay emphasis on the knowledge,which has no regular system, and we can not differ the grades in our teaching. There is so little knowledge in the compulsory of teaching material,it only pays more attention to improving the humanistic quality. The second chapter is to analyze the disadvantagesof the teaching material, such as the cohesion with the compulsory teaching material, the students have no right to choose, and it is so academic that it is not equal to the students’actual situation. The third chapter is to analyze the content of the Chinese exam; The first section is to discuss the content of the teaching material, which has the form of Chinese character, idiom phrases, poetry and Song poems; The second section is to discuss something that does not includes in the text, but it appears in our e xam. The first part is about grammatically wrong sentences, famous quotation, notional words and function words of classical style of writing and special sentence pattern; The third section is about the terminology jargon in the exam, but there is no introduction in text. There some examples in this paper. The fourth chapter is to analyze the form of the exam. There are too much subjective questions in The first section,which reduces the objectivity of the evaluation. There is no difference between elective papers and compulsory papers, and the evaluation is so simple. The third section,the teachers and students have no sense of achievements, because the exam paper is lack of practicability and depth. The fourth section, the efficiency of composition is bad. I can illustrate in the following aspects:lack of the living experience, training the composition at will, ignoring the students’ thinking training etc.The aim of the author of this paper is to present a lot of problems during teaching and give the readers some shallow thoughts in order to better the education of Chinese in the future. At the same time, I also hope that by comparing with foreign teaching material as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan, we can perfect ours, and learn from their strong points to offset their weakness, so that we can make the language teaching material and exam paper more scientific and gradually improve this kind of exam form and system, and develop the purpose of the function of the teaching evaluation.
