As the carrier of Chinese traditional culture and the crystallization of national wisdom, the writings in classical Chinese is an important part of the Chinese textbooks on both sides of the Straits. In this paper, the research object is the textbook published by People's Education Press and the textbook published by Taiwan Hanlin Press.By using the method of documentary and comparative analysis, the author compare editing evidence of writings in classical Chinese and the same articles on the basis of two versions. The textbook published by People's Education Press is the mainland China's most widely used version and has the greatest impact of Chinese textbook edition in the mainland China at present,at the same time, the version published by Hanlin Press also has a very high ratio in the Taiwanese market, which is higher than that of the Kangxuan and Nanyi editions. Therefore, the author make a comparative study of the overlapped texts selected by the two classical Chinese versions. In the first chapter of the text, the research related to this topic is combed and the research object is defined. The second chapter compares the compilation and selection basis of the two editions of classical Chinese textbooks.Comparing the curriculum objectives with the compilation principles,it is found that the two editions of textbooks emphasize the promotion of excellent traditional culture and allow students to accept traditional culture and accept the influence and learning of ideological and moral cultivation. The textbooks published by Hanlin Press pay more attention to students' self-learning ability, reduce the difficulty of self-study by providing students with more learning resources, and promote the transition of teaching materials to learning materials. The third chapter make a comparison of the compilation of the classical Chinese texts on the basis of the two editions of the textbooks, including calculating and analyzing the number and proportion of the classical Chinese texts and the position, number and proportion of the overlapping texts in the two editions of the textbooks. The overall structures of the classical Chinese texts in the two editions of textbooks were compared and analyzed. The texts were divided into four parts: pre-reading aids, texts, notes, illustrations and practice settings. The fourth chapter categorizes the genres of the eight overlapping texts in the two editions of the textbooks. It is divided into four categories, namely argumentation, lyricism, description, and narrative, and these four overlapped topics of the articles were compared and analyzed in detail in the form of graphs.Content includes the original text and its source,punctuation,after-school commentary,read-aid system comparison(including reading system, guides, illustrations, and comparison of after-school exercises).Based on the above research,it is generally concluded that there are many differences in the evidence and content of compilation and selection of classical Chinese textbooks for junior high school comparing textbooks published by People's Education Press and textbooks published by Taiwan Hanlin Published Press in the fifth chapter. On the basis of selection, mainland China and Taiwan both attach importance to the significance of classical Chinese in inheriting and carrying forward the excellent traditional culture, and both pay attention to allowing students to be influenced by culture and moral cultivation in the process of learning classical Chinese. The difference lies in the fact that Taiwan version has made specific provisions for the proportion of selected texts in each segment, and it is more progressive and scientific. In terms of the content of the compilation, the version published by People's Education Press has great flexibility and it pays more attention to allowing students to study independently and develop independent reading ability, but it lacks certain aesthetics and integrity. For example, the introduction of the textbooks published by People's Education Press is simple in design with giving students more space and freedom to read the texts independently;at the same time, the number of text illustrations is small and the color is monotonous. There are three articles in the eight overlapping texts with the author's black and white portrait, and there is no regular and fixed format;the form of exercises after class is relatively single and each article requires recite the full text,at the same time, the most of question types are basic knowledge exercises and some subjective questions. The textbook published by Taiwan Hanlin Press pays more attention to aesthetics, systematization and comprehensiveness of arrangement. For example,in the design of introduction, the problem solution and text appreciation section in the textbook published by Taiwan Hanlin Press is very detailed,in order to solve the reading obstacles before the class, however,to a certain extent,it is not conducive for students to have independent reading;in the use of punctuation, the textbook published by Taiwan Hanlin Press follows the original text to a higher degree, and it conforms to the context of the article to a higher degree;from the text illustrations, the eight classical texts in the textbook published by Taiwan Hanlin Press are always equipped with color illustrations, and each picture is delicate and beautiful with giving students a beautiful emotional experience;in the exercises after class,Hanlin's post-lesson exercises do not require the text to be memorized, and the questions are rich and comprehensive, but the diversity and flexibility of the classroom will be lacking.
