With the implementation of the new curriculum, the new educational philosophy and teaching ideas set a challenge for the teachers’ professional ability. The emergence of the network teaching platform which is supported by the network and breaks the limit of time and space provides a new opportunity for the teachers’professional development. For the current incomplete research of network teaching and research, this study investigate the present condition of the high school information technology teachers in Hubei province who participate in "51taoshi" network research study and put forward to the strategies to promote high school information technology teachers to carry out the network teaching and researching activities smoothly.First, analyze relevant literatures and understand the research of network teaching and research at home and abroad in recent years.Second, participate in "51taoshi" network research activities, and analyze it from the aspects of the network platform construction, the form of the network teaching and researching activities, and its organization and management.Third, do questionnaires and interviews according to the cause of the teachers’ participation in the network teaching, their attitudes towards network teaching and network teaching effect. The conclusions about problems in the information technology network teaching are as follows. The information technology teachers who participate in the network teaching and research activities are generally young and lack of experience. The technical problems in the process of network teaching and researching activities are no longer barriers for the information technology teachers, but they lack of cohesion. So the persistence of the participation in teaching and researching activities can’t be guaranteed. The activities depend on teachers’ autonomy. In the meanwhile, it lacks of experts’guidance and demonstration. The construction of the platform is not incomplete and it lacks of valuable original resources. It also lacks of organizations. After the activities, teachers are not able to make deep reflections, so the teaching effect is poor.Finally, study and discuss the effective strategies for developing the network teaching:one is to build learning community, improve teachers’ motivation to participate in the network teaching. Second, design the network teaching and researching activities, improve the width and depth of the network interaction. The third one is to establish a resource accumulation mechanism, share the network teaching resources. The last one is to regulate the organization and management of the network teaching, implement the network teaching and research results.
