The Guiding-Thinking and Exploring Method is the crystallization of the teaching method which is professor Zhang studying for 22 years in basic education. Abduction that is teachers arouse students interest and guide students to think purposely by the means of presupposition. Think is the independent thinking which can reflect the student’s important status. The teacher let the students into the learning process absorbedly through their guide, which make the students acquire knowledge and improve ability so as to master knowledge, develop ability and cultivate moral character. The Guiding-Thinking and Exploring Method applied in the ordinary high school geography teaching is not very common. It lack of complete practical experience and theory. Therefore the author research the method in the application of ordinary high school geography combining with teaching practiceFirstly, the article clarifies the purpose, significance and status of research of The Guiding-Thinking and Exploring Method., expounds the basic requirement for the implementation of The Guiding-Thinking and Exploring Method, determines the teaching patterns. Then it summarizes teaching strategies combined with the teaching practice. Finally, it takes some questionnaires and teaching experiment. According to the survey, the long-term use of the Guiding-Thinking and Exploring Method can change students interests and attitude in geography. At the same time, this method can exercise the students master efficient learning method.The Guiding-Thinking and Exploring Method have been proved to be effective by practical to enrich the teaching strategy. At the same time, this method provide guidance and reference for high school geography teaching.
