In today's world of increasingly fierce competition between countries, the comprehensive national strength is also growing and the quality of the workforce is in a large part of the decision of the country's comprehensive national strength. Based on the current international situation, the country has been constantly a big input of resources into the basic education and constantly groping forward. Since the founding of the national, there have been eight curriculum reforms in total. Basing on the development of students is the core of the new curriculum reform ideas, based on the core, the high school geography also have higher requirements, in order to adopt the increasingly fierce international situation. In the "ordinary high school geography curriculum standard", they respect the student's personality development, pay attention to training students' learning ability, innovation ability, practice ability; emphasis on students' autonomous learning cooperative learning inquiry learning. In new curriculum standards with new ideas, "improving each student's scientific literacy", the most basic principle is to focus on the students' all-round development and life--long development promote personality development of students"How will we combine the concept of integration to the teaching process? With the author's own teaching experience and the characteristics of the school students, the author thinks that “induced thought exploration, three part and five steps" teaching model advocates teaching methods, including students' self-study students induced, mutual assistance, fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the students, let the student learn something through the teachers put forward the problem in order to achieve the purpose of study, research questions actively, grasp the knowledge. Students to self-study, teachers guide, mutual correction between the classmate, is consistent with the new curriculum standard advocates independent learning, cooperative learning, inquiry learning, and they are also one of the valid ways to improve the overall quality of students.This paper describes the present situation of the teaching reform at home and abroad, based on the analysis of the research background of teaching reform, put forward the purpose and significance of the research, determine the research ideas of this study; starting from the theoretical basis of teaching reform, introduces the school promotion and implementation of the "guiding thinking and inquiring teaching mode and the teaching mode of the structure; schools and society, to have such a teaching reform or like the conflict, finally concludes the following main reasons: students did not fundamentally change the traditional concept of learning; The understanding of the model is not deep enough; the school does not give full play to the role of the reform of teaching mode; the society and the family have not given enough support. found in high school geography teaching in the implementation of "induced thought exploration" teaching mode in classist udents learning geography interest is greatly improved, and the academic achievement also has obvious upward trend. which is advocated by the school, has a positive meaning to the geography teaching in senior high school, but it still needs to be strengthened and improved in the teaching practice in the future.
