The basketball sport is an important part of school sports activities in China. It has a wide range of secondary vocational students. According to the functional characteristics of the basketball project, in the secondary vocational school to carry out basketball activities, can very good to promote the students’ physical and mental health development. Basketball can not only train the students’ good life behavior, promote the formation of a good campus culture atmosphere, but also helps to make the secondary vocational students to develop lifelong sports awareness.This paper studies the status quo of Basketball Teaching in Foshan vocational high school, students’ participation in the status quo, and extracurricular activities. The purpose is to increase the sports activities of the students in Foshan, and to promote the development of basketball in Foshan.Through interviews, literature, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics and other research methods to investigate the status quo of Foshan vocational high school basketball development, and to make a comprehensive analysis of the impact factors of the existing problems. Based on this, this study discusses the influence factors on the degree of basketball, basketball, college basketball, and the degree of attraction to students.Based on this, the paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the development of vocational high school basketball in Foshan.
