| Since Beijing has successfully hosted the Olympic Games in 2008, China also has succeed in bidding the 2019 Basketball World Cup and the 24 th Winter Olympic Games, which makes the Chinese sports industry enter into a new stage. As to basketball sport,the Chinese men's basketball team defeated Iran, the Philippines, South Korea and other strong competitors in 2015 Changsha men's Basketball Championships and entered into 2016 Brazil Rio Olympic Games with the honor of being the top one in Asian; in the 2015- 2016 CBA regular season that ended shortly, Shandong Expressway men's basketball, choosing Ji'nan as its main field, entered into the playoffs with 28 wins and 10 losses accounting for 73% winning percentage. All of these events have brought new vitality to the amateur basketball lives of citizens in Ji'nan and has aroused a new upsurge in basketball.With the rapid development of economy and increasing improvement of people's living standard in Ji'nan, physical training consciousness of urban residents in Ji'nan has been strengthened to a large extent, as well as the needs for physical training in the aspects of daily consumption, daily life and spiritual level. Meanwhile, the mass basketball sports in urban area of Jinan has got many positive and influential development. In order to thoroughly investigate the current situation of the mass basketball sports and the influencing factors, this thesis conducted a questionnaire survey to gain certain necessary information about the participants of the mass basketball sports, including their basic situation, training situation and other situation, as well as the influencing factors and then made systematic analysis on the data. On the basis of the survey and analyses above, the thesis also put forward certain suggestions in theory with the hope of promoting further and healthy development of the mass basketball sports in Ji'nan.The research results show that firstly, as to the basic situation of the participants, the participants are primarily male aged 16 to 25 with above high school level of education and among them, students account for the largest proportion; secondly, about the participants' training situation, their participation is various in forms; they often choose public basketball court as the main exercise place, such as school and park; however, as a whole, the technical level and tactical level of the participants are uneven; their exercise time mostly fixed atweekend and holidays; their motivations for playing basketball are improve health and entertainment; they are consumers of materials in basketball consumption; thirdly, based on the analyses of the factors influencing the mass basketball sports in urban area of Ji'nan, the thesis finds out six factors, including participants' personal factors, the characteristics of basketball sports, restraint of season and weather, the management system of the mass basketball sports, basketball court and media publicity.On the basis of investigating and analyzing of the current situation of the mass basketball sports in the urban area of Ji'nan, the thesis proposes the following suggestions according to six influencing factors: firstly, the government should further promote the popularization of the National Fitness Program to promote and the better development of the mass basketball sports. The government and relevant departments should pay more attention to the mass basketball sports and increase publicity of the mass basketball sports through digital television, newspapers and other news media in order to improve the people's consciousness of participation, as well as accelerating the process of National Fitness Program; secondly, as to the management of the mass basketball sports, it is advised that shifting from government management to social management is important. Fund should be raised from multiple resources for building more free opening-up basketball courts and training for mass basketball talents in school and communities should be carried out widely; thirdly, to learn the successful experience from other provinces or regions to deepen promotion and publicity of the mass basketball sports. increasing the number of social sports instructors in basketball and improving their professional qualities to provide professional instructions for the mass basketball sports and to enter into the lives of the public are necessary; fourthly, equitable distribution for sports resources and improvement of the efficiency of resource usage should be achieved. The government should increase the financial supports to the mass basketball sports with the purpose of providing more adequate basketball court. |
