Walking is the most basic movement in people’s daily life. Similarly, walking with physical load is a kind of necessary behaviors in our daily life. If the weight-bearing lasts for a long time, it will probably affect the distribution of plantar pressure and result in a series of injuries. The purpose of the research was to reveal the phenomenon about plantar pressure when adults are under different load conditions during walking. The conclusion can give people logical suggestions how they carry bags in the right way. Exploring the regular pattern about distribution of plantar pressure parameters can provide reliable data for clinical diagnosis, efficacy assessment, orthotic prescription and physical exercise. In this study, experiments were conducted at three load styles (weight-bear shoulder, one-hand load, shoulders load) in four kinds of weight (5%,10%,15% and 20% of human weight) conditions by using Three-Dimension force platform system. At the same time, vertical direction characteristic bimodal curves and seven gait characteristics quantities of curves which were obtained from the experiments described above were analyzed and contrasted. Seven characteristic parameters were selected and analyzed by statistical method. The duration of the study was lasted from the contact with force measurement platform by the heel of the left (right) foot to the toes of right (left) foot push off. In order to eliminate the variation of individuals, the GRF data collected should be normalized firstly as follow, the force data were divided by the body-weight of the subject and the time data were divided by the single stance phase. T test was used to draw a comparison among different weight of the same measure, then we can discuss the questions about whether exists differences between the different weights (p<0.05) and different ways of weight-bearing affect plantar pressure.Plantar pressures between left and right foot have symmetry characteristics when people walk without the load or under the weight-bear by shoulders. Compared with the increase of the load weight, plantar pressures between left and right foot do not have symmetry characteristics during walking with one-hand load and shoulders load. The results indicated that parameters between left and right foot under 15% load condition during single-shoulder walking shows unacceptable symmetry. Seven gait characteristic parameters of male are different from those of female in different loading conditions. The differences of plantar pressure between the male and the female may be affected by their foot sizes. The results showed a significant difference for the male subjects at 13% of body weight loads comparing with natural walk during shoulder walking. When the male subjects carried the load of 12%, the ground reaction forces induced a significant difference compared with natural walk. For the female subjects, the results showed a significant difference at 12% of body weight loads comparing with natural walk during shoulder walk. When the female subjects carried the load of 10%, the ground reaction forces induced a significant difference compared with natural walk.
