From the existing literature, it mostly carried out the qualitative research on the connection between Christian and social work, borrowing the theory of phenomenology, grounded theory or participation observation. The compatibility is always argued in western countries allowing for the tension between Christian faith and ethical values. Taiwan scholars are inclined to focus on man itself, including social workers with religion and clients. The political culture background is not entirely consistent with the West and Taiwan. Accordingly disparity exists when faced with potential challenges and putting ethical values into use. It calls for supplements to the existing literature in mainland China.Researcher has interviewed with the a Christian social worker for the collection and analysis. In the view of interpretative sociology, the paper draws the route of soul on the way to professionalization in social work under the background of native cultures. The life stories encounter with faith and with social work, and the life’s journey to make up her mind to be a Christian social worker. This paper contains three points that summarize the ethical values in Christian faith:(1) ponder over the Ultimate Question; (2) attach importance to equality; (3) trust appropriately. Researcher extracts six characteristics of good social workers:the enthusiasm for social work, the sense of responsibility for job, the identification of the organization, a high degree of professionalization, concentrating on one field, a strong value and belief system. In this paper, the religious belief in the formation of social workers’ethical values provides a path choice. The research shows that the core value of the religious belief has influence on the service of social workers, and has a positive impact on the value ethics and service way of social workers. But at the same time, the belief in social work practice also showed the same side. Social work ethics value of local experience fusion needs to be further strengthened.
