Study On Strengthening The Mainstream Values’ Identification Of College Students

The 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of C hina gives a completely new deployment to a solid promotion of a Strong Socialist Culture nation. It clearly pointed : To complete the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects and achieve the great renewal of the C hinese nation, we must create a new surge in promoting socialist culture and bring about its great development and enrichment; To develop a strong socialist culture in China, we must take the socialist path of promoting cultural advance with Chinese characteristics. To develop a stro ng socialist culture in C hina, it is critical to inspire the cultural creativity of the whole nation. To complete the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects, the guidance of mainstream values is inseparable, O nly when mainstream values are generally accepted, understood, mastered and transferred to social consciousness by the people, then mainstream values can be consciously abided and pursued by the people. At present, C hina is in a critical period of transition to a modern society fro m traditional society. The deepening of economic structural reform and various social thoughts both at the home and abroad impact and influence the mainstream values’ acceptance extent of contemporary college students. In the competition of comprehensive national power, the strategic position of culture soft power and the directive function of ideology are increasingly prominent. The contemporary college students are the successors to the cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. How to lead and strengthen their identification of the mainstream values is of great significance.Through looking up the relevant information, a clear concept, significance and formation process of mainstream values are clarified in this thesis. By referring to the relevant literature, adopting the questionnaire to collect the data and doing analysis to the data, the first- hand information of contemporary college students’ mainstream values identification status can be obtained. And through the combination of social background and influencing factors, a comprehensive analysis of this phenomenon’s reason is implemented. Finally, the path of strengthening contemporary college students’ identification of the mainstream values is explored.
