This research mainly around the mind mapping is applied to the study of high school history teaching, whose central task is to improve the students’ science literacy. The key elements of training of history subject literacy is to require students to understand the basic knowledge of history and use the historical knowledge to analyze and solve problems. Mind mapping, as an effective tool of thinking, can promote the effective development about brain function, is good for the system of learners’ knowledge structure. On the current work, the learning result and enthusiasm of the author’s students is generally poor. Applying mind mapping to history teaching process, aims to improve students’ interest in learning history and to promote the historical thinking ability of students.According to all research articles about mind mapping at home and aboard, mind mapping is applied to the high school history teaching research, is mainly journal articles, lays particular stress on theoretical level. This article,combined with the teaching practice of the study, and analysis of mind mapping is applied to the high school history teaching in the field of teachers’ teaching and students use a mind mapping building history knowledge system, which belongs to the most innovation of the paper.In the process of the research, the author carried out an experiment on students’ interests of learning with two questionnaires. By analyzing data, the author get the conclusion that drawing a mind mapping can develop students’ learning interest. Also, after analyzing grades of students before and after the experiment and by using data analysis software, the author found that drawing a mind mapping can develop students grades.The author hope that this research can provide some help for high school teachers when using a mind mapping to teach, in the meanwhile, it may be of some help for high school students in history learning.
