Mind mapping was put forward by British "father of memory" Tony Bozan in 1970,it effectively combines graphics and text,using different levels of themes to list the relationship among things,fully mobilizing the function of the left and right brain to assist learning and memory,changing the traditional way of memory and improve the efficiency of learning.As one of effective learning tools,mind mapping has been paid more and more attention in recent years.By referring to relevant literatures,it was found that mind mapping plays an increasingly prominent role in education,most of the researches were concentrated in junior middle school and primary school.In this paper,the application of mind mapping in senior high school mathematics was studied in three types of classes: new teaching,reviewing and exercising.The main methods used in this study include literature analysis,questionnaire survey,experimental method and interview method.Firstly,current status of the study in mind mapping was clarified by reading literature,which provided a solid foundation for subsequent research.Secondly,through a questionnaire survey of 100 students in a senior high school in HB City,it helped know the current situation of high school students' math learning,and three-months teaching experiment was carried out to solve the existing problems.Four parallel classes were selected for the experiment.Teaching cases based on mind mapping were designed and implemented in two experimental classes,while traditional teaching plans were still used in the contrast class.Finally,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 100 students in the experimental class,and their scores were compared with those of the contrast class,two teachers who participated in the teaching experiment were interviewed.By analyzing the teaching effect,the research conclusion was got.The conclusions of this study mainly include the following three points:(1)Mind mapping can stimulate students' interest in learning,concentrate their attention,improve learning efficiency and independent learning ability,and promote the formation of students' divergent thinking and innovative thinking.(2)Compared with traditional teaching methods,teaching with mind mapping can help students sort out their knowledge,clarify their learning ideas,promote students to grasp mathematical knowledge,construct a complete knowledge system,enhance the interaction between teachers and students,and promote the improvement of students' scores.(3)Among the following three lessons: new lesson,review lesson and exercise lesson,mind mapping has the best effect in the review lesson.
