In recent years, with the growing of varieties tablet PCs, smart phones and other mobile devices, mobile digital reading as a new way of reading which has become an important part of people’s intelligent life while e-book is rapidly growing up. In the field of education, the special e-book "electronic textbook" has getting more and more attention. Electronic textbook as the product of information technology in education, compared to traditional paper-based textbook, not only has nonlinear, dynamic, hypermedia and other characteristics, but also in the interface design, animation, integration of resources showing a variety of features, to achieve two-way interaction and electronic teaching textbook, learning, strengthen the learning of participation and a sense of belonging.Electronic textbook in the domestic and foreign development fiery, making teaching textbook in the world of electronic wave and blowing usher in, after the United States, South Korea, Japan, Singapore and other in advanced information technology, developed countries successful trial project of electronic textbooks, China also unwilling to lag behind, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou and other cities in the developed are carried out electronic textbooks of experimental projects and plans. However, the domestic research on electronic textbook is not very thorough, the research direction is very simple, there is still a controversy on the understanding and understanding of electronic teaching textbook, in the classroom practice is still in the exploratory stage.At present, domestic scholars of electronic textbooks focus in development and design, comparison and analysis of the study at home and abroad through electronic textbook typical project, better track electronic textbook development and application of the actual situation of found electronic textbooks in middle and primary schools in our country practice, and on this basis, put forward effective countermeasures, and construct the classroom of the elementary and middle schools in our country electronic textbooks, teaching mode, and in order to explore a more suitable for the development of different areas in China electronic textbook construction road.This paper is divided into five parts: the first part is the introduction. It mainly introduces the electronic textbooks in the background, research purpose and significance, and research methods, and the concept, characteristics and advantages of electronic textbook to carry on the elaboration, for the whole dissertation to pave the way, lay the theoretical foundation. The second part is the development of domestic and foreign electronic textbook to sort out the status of foreign countries and developing countries in accordance with the classification, the domestic first tier cities, second tier cities and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions for classification. The third part from the policy funding support, development, applications and other dimensions of the domestic and foreign electronic teaching textbook typical case analysis and comparison, found the similarities and differences, learn the successful experience. The fourth part is the Enlightenment of the study and suggestions, aiming at the problems existing in our country’s current practice of electronic textbooks put forward effective solutions, build "TES" electronic textbooks, teaching mode, and provide new ideas for the development and application of electronic teaching textbook in China. The fifth part is the research of innovation and insufficiency, and summarizes the innovation and deficiency of the paper.
