The Study Of Yuelu Academy Music Education Events

Yuelu Academy is known as "one of the four ancient Chinese Academy" and It occupies an important position in the development history of Chinese Academy. It once was the center of high level education in Hunan, what’s more, Yuelu Academy was one of the four national academic center in the Southern Song Dynasty. Zhang Shi, Zhu Xi, Wang Yangming, and other famous scholars had presided over general work here and given lectures. It enjoyed a prosperous time and trained a large number of Hunan talent. Yuelu Academy played a significant role effectively and constantly for ages through Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasty and it was praised as "Genius are all in Chu, especially in Yuelu".Yuelu Academy has always been advocating Confucius and Confucianism. Music education is an important part and highest stage of Confucius’ teaching activities. Yuelu Academy inherited the tradition of Confucianism, focusing on moral and music education. This article will be based on Yuelu music education,and conduct in-depth study of Yuelu music education based on the activities, in order to analyze and reorganize the whole music education system in Yuelu, in order to analyze and reorganize the whole music education system in Yuelu and trying to comprehend the ancient education in Yuelu. The full text is divided into five chapters,The first part is an introduction, mainly introduces Yuelu Academy history, current situation and a review of studies and articles and other issues in the field of practical significance.The main text is divided into four chapters, the first chapter, analyzed Yuelu Academy music education from two aspects based on Chinese classics about ancient music, “YUEJING” and “YUELV”. The second chapter introduced the leisure activities with music of the teachers and students in Yuelu to explain the music education in Yuelu. The third chapter analyzed Yuelu Academy ritual education, mainly based on the presentation of sacrificial ceremony in honor of Confucius in Qing Dynasty. What’s more, author tried to give a clue of how the ancient Yuelu academy tied the ritual and music education to understand the mutual effect of both part. Last chapter compared Yuelu music education with traditional music education, expounding the core features of both, on this account, to explain the significance of Yuelu Academy to traditional Music education Inheritance and Evolution.
