Design For College Nursing Students’ Empathy Psychodrama Intervention Program And Verification Of Its Result

Objective: Through investigating nursing students’ present empathy level, a set of psychodrama intervention program on nursing students ’ empathy judging their general life and vocational scene was designed to verify the effectiveness of the program.Method: To design college nursing students ’ empathy psychodrama intervention program, Firstly, the author made a questionnaire survey for 150 nursing students from Yiyang Medical College on their present empathy level by using a personally designed basic situation survey table and JSPE-NS. Then, a psychological drama intervention program would be worked out in close connection with the psychological drama and the total empathy theory combined with their basic law of total empathy development and age stage features.To verify the design, JSPE-NS was used to pretest, 46 students with low-empathy were selected to be divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received empathy psychodrama intervention once a week, 2 hours at a time while the control group did not receive any treatment. Eight weeks later, the two groups’ levels of empathy had been measured respectively to verify intervention effects of psychodrama.Results:(1) The design for college nursing students ’ empathy psychodrama intervention program has a high validity.(2) After empathy psychodrama intervention program, compared with the control group, experimental group students’ empathy score improved significantly, it improved three dimensions and total scores.Conclusions:(1) College nursing students ’ empathy psychodrama intervention program, which is based on the current situation of College nursing students ’ empathy, closely linked to the theory of psychological drama and empathy, sticks to basic rules of College nursing students ’ empathy development, closely linked to the age of the Junior College nursing students ’ empathy characteristics, is full of feasibility and high efficiency;(2) College nursing students ’ empathy psychodrama intervention program of life-plus-occupational scene type has outstanding effective on college nursing students ’ empathy intervention.
