Along with the new curriculum reform of basic education in our country,and the guiding ideology of “High School History Curriculum Standards(Experimental)”,becoming constantly reasonable, great changes of high school history textbooks have also taken place and the most significant part is increasing the number of picture data.Not only the proportion but the value of image information in the textbooks is growing.Because of this, the method of use of a method to increase the value of the image data has become increasingly important. With the improvement and continuously updated teaching methods, high school history teachers should make efforts to learn how to use the textbook picture information effectively and enable picture information for high school history teaching better service, which is also an important subject of history teaching and research.The author, with the guidance of the “High School History Curriculum Standards(Experimental)” and combination with his own educational practice, takes the compulsory textbooks(Yuelu Version II) for example, studying some aspects of high school history textbooks image information and the usage preliminarily and summarizing some of the views and recommendations of the textbook image data utilization. This paper is divided into four parts: the first part is introduction part,which mainly introduces the overview of the image data, the research status, and the research method of this paper; the second part is about the value of the image data. The third part focuses on the problems in the application of image data. The fourth part is the important part of the research, which is about the specific measures solving the above problems and solutions.Many scholars have conducted the related research, but most research the complementary value of image data. In this paper, according to his own practice, the author mainly analyzes how to effectively use image data from the start, that is, the use of strategies, principles and methods. Mainly from the image data itself, combining characteristics of image data, depending on the image data, choosing different application methods, the author makes the image data play great role in the history of the learning and teaching process as much as possible.High school history is a humanities subject which is relatively difficult to learn.However, in the past, students and parents always think that to learn history just need recite without any methods. In fact, it is a very wrong view, history is also a subject which need think and a variety of learning methods. And the correct use of the image data is one of the important ways of the new curriculum.
