After facing great challenges in my own music teaching,author consuled the related references and browed the website, we found that it is common that pop music is the mainstream music of music class no matter in remote area or prosperous cities at home and abroad, not just the Wenchuan Shuimo middle school I am working. Some music teachers have no way to solve the problem that students like pop music but dislike music class, so they are forced to give up using the textbook for music teaching. However, if the textbook for music teaching cannot be used without a hitch, it will make the students have the bad preference that pop music is the best. If the value of music and art course can not get better, will eventually may affect the students’ individual development value and the value of the whole social development. It is important to put the textbook into practice.In order to help our middle school music teachers or other music teachers who have a similar problem out of trouble author found the music teaching methods well use, the author has determined the subject research “starting from pop music proffer help to music textbooks for junior middle school ”and explore it,the author consulted the documents, teaching practice and other research methods.This paper comprises of six chapters.The first chapter is the foreword,about the research reason, research status quo, research significance and research methods.The second part of this article is to address question:our school exists such phenomenon in music teaching: More than one student is fond of pop music rather than music teaching materials.The third part of this article is to analyze problems, the author will have a discussion on the reasons why students like pop music and reject the music in the textbook through comparing the pop music with the music in the textbook from many aspects, and combining the social music environment, music education and the learners. The forth part of this article is to solve problems, the author put forward the solution that using the pop music ensure that the music in the textbook can be used successfully. The fourth chapter can be divided into three parts. First, teachers need to admit that the music in the textbook is in a embarrassing situation, change the concept of music teaching and attach importance to the work of pop music in the music class. Second, pop music is used as an introduction to solve the problem of the music in the textbook. The functions of pop music include the application of knowledge, skill and appreciation of music. Third, using the fashion elements in pop music can stimulate the vitality of the music in the textbook, create an musical culture environment in the campus, build a cheerful and happy atmosphere in music class and motivate the students to learn the music in the textbook through star in these three aspects. The fifth, sixth part of this articler are supplements to solve the problem,which are the extension and expansion of the fourth part. Among them, the fifth chapter put forward a new idea which school-based teaching material gives priority to local folk music is added pop music and other music. In the sixth chapter of this thesis, the author proposes an assumption which is to establish a website related to the musical art and development for music teaching.In addition, it will provide convenience for teachers who compile textbook,as well as provide service for using music teaching materials smoothly and so on.It will cover the shortage that the music in the textbook fall behind the development of music. Except that, it can reduce the workload of the teachers, and make more good music show up in the music class and serve to the music in the textbook. This thesis aims to let the music class of junior middle school anchor in the folk music, have the elegance of art, and possess the fashion of pop music, so it is possible to make the music class be popular with the students. The innovation of this thesis will be illustrated from three aspects. First, this thesis have a comprehensive discussion on the reason about students prefer pop music to music teaching materials, from the social environment of pop music and the music in the textbook, music education at school, music morphology and the learners;Except that,it came up with a series of solving measures tentatively according to the investigation. Second, there are specific and systematic operational approach; Third, it brings forward the assumption that is to establish a website related to the musical art and development so that the students can listen to more good music, and this website will be the stretch of teaching material and music class.
