Human beings need to decide the direction of chemical development, and the deterioration of global environment demands chemistry to develop in a green way. Green chemistry, a new term, has been put forward in such a background, which indicates that we should prevent pollution from the source with the help of chemical knowledge, technique and methods. We should learn to use harmless raw materials, to save energy and to reduce environment pollution as possible as we can. Aiming to improve the development of high school students in an all-around way and push the whole society forward, green chemistry has been introduced into senior high school study nowadays. The strength of green chemistry in high school study will make profound significance to environmental protection as well as the sustainable development of society. The research and development of green chemistry in China has just started, which begins to infiltrate into high school learning, but the process is slow. In the case of no ready-made experience, how to develop green chemistry teaching in high school has become a new challenge for chemistry teachers.Through the study of concerning papers in recent 10 years, this topic finds that the education of green chemistry in high school learning is still at the primary stage. Schools pay less attention to green chemistry education. Meanwhile, teachers lack related research on practical teaching. This topic is conducted in a way of questionnaire among students and the interview with teachers who are from Zhaodong No.1 Middle School, the school I work in. from the analysis of present chemistry education, I find there’s a lace of green chemistry awareness for both teachers and students. They attach less importance to it, what’s worse, the learning of green chemistry is just to the level of examination. The concept and knowledge about green chemistry in teachers should be improved first. The change in teachers can guarantee a good education future. This paper begins from the introduction and significance of green chemistry, deeply analyze its definition and social value at present, and then expounds the possibility of teaching green chemistry in senior high. On the base of analysis in the present teaching of green chemistry in high school, I read a large amount of related documents as well as deliberate high school teaching materials and teaching standards. Under the guidance of education psychology, such as " observational learning", "model learning" and the guidance of new curriculum reform concept, I reorganized the teaching strategies of green chemistry with the connection of my own teaching practice. Starting from teaching material and textbooks, my topic conducts the study in classroom teaching, exercises, experiments, research learning and after class activities, and construct teaching strategies for green chemistry teaching in high school, wishing to make great contributions to chemistry education. After the comprehensive analysis of the research result, this topic proves to be practical in green chemistry teaching.Due to my limitation in teaching experience and recognition, I need more study in teaching strategies to make great progress.
