The personality differences among art high school students were great, the polarization of mathematics studying was serious, and the traditional class-based teaching system with many disadvantages could not assist different level students’ development.Therefore, it necessarily became a deeply-research direction about how to highlight the subject status of student’s studying, how to envisage and respect the individual differences of art high school students, and how to process stratified teaching of individual differentiation.We tried a new teaching method: firstly, we separated an administrative class into A,B, C three different level classes, and allowed students to change class according to ones’ adaptability, teacher in each class divided every student into merit, normal or hard level in terms of each student’s basis and thinking expression, as mentioned above, rigid stratification, stratified flow and stratification in class constituted three important elements in teaching activities. After stratification the difference of students’ level was effectively narrowed in each class, students were given attention comprehensively, and their motivation and activity were aroused. They could change their levels in class at any time and had chance to change different level class, thus, we called it plasticity stratification.We made systematical research on stratified strategy of various teaching factors in plasticity stratification mode, analyzed cases in aspects of emotional changes, instructional design, teaching process etc. and finally made conclusions below through combining concrete practice, questionnaire and effect analysis:1. Multi-assessment was made during the preparation, then, we made stratification according to the assessment result and students’ willing, in addition, students were free to change class after division, the level difference of mathematics learning in class was effectively narrowed, which made students with similar level be in a same class so thatstudents’ pride and confidence were inspired.2. Rigid stratification promoted interchange activities of lesson preparation group among teachers, and making teaching goals, basic content and methods through communication helped teachers to teach successfully.3. Stratification in class made all students be paid attentions, and the class ecology became more active, teachers would help poor students and promote outstanding students in aspects of content processing, question, practice, coursework and tests, which brought the study atmosphere into virtuous cycle and effectively increased teaching quality.4. Plasticity stratified teaching not only changed students but teachers, helped students approach teachers, inspired students’ activity and enthusiasm of learning mathematics, and tremendously improved teachers’ professional ability and teaching wisdom as well.
