| "Stratified Mathematics Teaching Method"is a teaching pedagogy that sorts students into different strata based on their math background and capability first. And then, the students in different strata are taught with different teaching methods accordingly.The method has been tried out in many Junior High Schools in China. Though this method has been widely recognized and there are many successful cases abroad, there are still many issues that deserve our attention and consideration. Students'math background and capability are different from one another, why do we have to treat them exactly the same in our math teaching?To meet the needs for the future education and the educational system requirement, we need to find out a teaching method to make our math teaching more effective."Stratified Mathematics Teaching Method"is such a method which is very valuable for the development of our educational system and the future of our students. Therefore,"Stratified Mathematics Teaching Method"should be given the opportunity to be practiced in classroom. I am a schoolmaster of a Middle School, and I fully support this method. I have been practiced this method for two years. It is not only because I believe in its value but more importantly, it reflects the equality of education to all students. Besides, many problems that I encountered in my educational practice could be solved by applying this method.I am using this teaching method in my school. Before using it, I reviewed related educational theories and practices both in China and abroad, and then thought carefully about them. After two years'practice of the method, I have summarized my teaching experience and come up with some conclusions and suggestions when using Stratified Mathematics Teaching Method. |
