With the rapid development of science and technology, the emerging science and technology has penetrated into every field of social production. As the representative of advanced productive forces, numerical control technology has been widely used. Therefore, more and more technical talents are needed by the enterprises. Secondary vocational school is responsible for the company’s production, maintenance, service, management and other personnel. However, facing with the continuously demands of technical talents from the enterprise and the society, secondary vocational school education is also facing a huge challenge. First of all, the traditional subject curriculum still occupies the main position in secondary vocational school education. Learning content focuses on the theoretical knowledge, teaching methods is based on the teachers’ teaching, and students’ learning relays on attending the lectures. Thus, the theory has no connection with the practice at all and it is hard for those graduates to meet the needs of enterprises and society. Second, since it is easy for the students to enroll into the secondary vocational school, they are weak in the basic knowledge and their abstract thinking is poor. Therefore, they can not adapt to the current vocational school education model. How can we make the students adapt to the current education(learning) mode and cultivate some students who have strong professional skills and are welcome by the enterprises? Secondary vocational schools need to change the teaching idea and construct a new teaching mode to meet the needs of the training of talents in vocational schools and enterprises. This thesis is based on the above considerations and has done some researches on the numerical control professional "theory and practice integration" practice teaching model in the secondary vocational school.This thesis consists of five parts. The first part is to discuss the purpose and significance of the research and illustrate some concepts.The second part maily analyzes the aims and demands of cultivating those professionals in numeri cal control in secondary vacational schoolThe third part is to analyze the shortcomings of teaching modes in the secondary vocational school from different aspects including teaching thought, teaching aims, teaching method, teaching contents and teaching process. And it also puts forward that we need to apply the "theory and practice integration" teaching model to change the current teaching situation. The forth part gives an illustration about the "theory and practice integration" teaching model on its teaching organization, teaching process, teaching methods and evaluation methods. Finally, a practical example is presented in this Thesis.
