The Current Existing Problems Of The Legal System Education Of Vocational College In China And Counter Measures Research

In recent years, with the deepening reform of higher education, higher vocational education is developing with a high speed and the scale of the education has become wider and wider. The researches on the higher vocational education have become more and more concerned. However, the research on education in respect for the law in higher vocational colleges is not keeping pace with the development of higher vocational education. Higher vocational college students are the important part of the future society. To develop the education in respect for the law in higher vocational college, students is very important in promoting the rule of law in our country. Research on the problems and countermeasures of higher vocational college students education in respect for the law in our country are meaningful.This paper takes a better development of higher vocational education as the purpose and the development of China’s future social development as the background. From the problems of the current higher vocational education in respect for the law in China, the thesis regards the exploration of the solution of the education in respect for the law as the key point in order to expect the development of the education in respect for the law among Higher Vocational Colleges and universities in China.The thesis is divided into three parts.The first part mainly explains the concept of the education in respect for the law. It also discusses the education in respect for the law in higher vocational colleges and the meaning of it as well. Firstly, the thesis introduces the connotation and content of legal education and of the education in respect for the law in higher vocational colleges. The main content of college students’ legal education is to popularize legal knowledge, cultivate the legal consciousness and improve the legal capacity. Then, it summarizes the unique characteristics of the legal education in higher vocational colleges in China through the contrast to the common social education. Then, it expounds the important significance of the education in respect for the law in higher vocational education : higher vocational education is the need of the construction of a state with an adequate legal system, the need of national economic transformation, the need of spiritual civilization construction, and the need of the cultivation of compound talents.The second part mainly discusses the education in respect for the law in higher vocational colleges in China at present and analyzes the reasons for the problems respectively from five aspects: higher vocational colleges, teachers, relevant teachers, legal awareness of students, social environment and so on. It summarizes the reasons of the problems: the relative lag of the education in respect for the law in social development, misconceptions and negative influence of information in the society, the defects of idea about higher vocational education in respect for the law itself, the lack of development on legal awareness, rigid administration in the colleges, the indifference of legal awareness of higher vocational students.The third part of summarized the improvement of the legal education in higher vocational colleges: first, improve the legal education propaganda system, reform the legal education evaluation system, such as the reform of the legal education examination, promote the legal education innovation research, and combined with the professional characteristics of higher vocational students, strengthen the legal education in higher vocational colleges. Second, strengthen the construction of teachers in legal education, improve the mechanism of the teacher training; improve the teachers’ learning consciousness by building incentive mechanism, and establish the concept of lifelong learning. Third, enhance the students’ legal concept in many ways, optimize the campus legal environment, create the atmosphere of democracy and the rule of law, set up a legal community or legal interest group, to carry out legal knowledge contest etc.; innovate legal education forms to expand a variety of legal education means such as network, newspapers etc, improve teaching methods of legal education, strengthen the practical teaching and “activity curriculum” teaching mode; also make use of the synergistic effects of society on the legal education; organize the relevant students associations and the activities in order to attract students to participate in the legal cultural activities, stimulate initiative learning for vocational college students in respect for the law.To do a better job in the higher vocational education in respect for the law, we should improve the rule of law education system, strengthen the faculty in law education, develop students’ awareness of the rule of law, stimulate students’ initiative and put it in practice, and help higher vocational students to master some legal knowledge and set up a sound and scientific legal consciousness. Therefore, we could raise our country’s higher vocational law education to a higher level and make new achievements.
