For the mathematical teaching in high school, it is the prerequisite for the effective teaching to correctly understand the relation between mathematics and statistics, overally master the knowledge contexts of statistics and probability, accurately comprehend the connotation of the related basic concepts and establish right statistical ideas. At present, in the teaching of statistics and probability, there exist the reinforcement of complicated computational process, negligence and weakening of the understanding, establishment and application of statistics-probability model, lack of problem awareness and data processing ability, and examination orientation where the teachers explain experiments rather than the students conduct practical activities, which are adverse to the realization of course goal. The Mathematics Curriculum Standards of the nine-year compulsory education (hereinafter referred to as "Standards") clearly point out:"we need to let the students describe information by applying data, do the inference process, and develop the statistical ideas", the Standards proposed "Statistical Ideas" as one important goal of mathematical course in the compulsory education stage. In the practical teaching activities of statistics and probability in high school, the teachers shall use the life situations, teaching resources and computer technologies to do experiments or stimulate experiments, let the students actively participate in experiments, experience the entire process of data collection, cleansing, description and analysis, and then improve their abilities to solve practical issues. The thesis consists of the following five parts:The first chapter is an introduction, which is mainly about the background, aim and significance of the research, and research situations at home and abroad as well as the methods adopted in the study. The second chapter is situations of statistical teaching, which focuses on the reforming background of statistics contents and the existing problems in teaching. The third part is an explanation of related concepts about statistics. Through comparing statistics with other mathematical teaching contents, such as, typical statistical teaching ideas, statistical thoughts and the changes in the statistical part in the new teaching materials of the new curriculum compared with the teaching programmed. The fourth part is two teaching designs in Secondary school, including designs, practice and statistical analysis of results of Random sampling in compulsory Section Three and Sample estimation whole. The fifth part is recommendation, in which the author gives suggestions on the basis of combination of existing problems with the new course reform.
